Iris Pseudacorus | Yellow Flag

Iris Pseudacorus Yellow Flag is the only native aquatic iris, it can be vigorous in boggy soil. It is the origin of the famous Royal French emblem, Fleur-de-lys. As with all iris the tubers are harmful if eaten. After foliage has died back in Autumn cut back to just above the water surface. If trimming left until spring take care not to damage emerging shoots.

Marginal plants are great for ponds, and will add colour, interest and wildlife habitat to your garden. Marginal pond plants like Iris Pseudacorus Yellow Flag, make a wonderful and easy addition to any garden pond edge.
